Firth of Forth Rail Bridge by jamibann

Firth of Forth Rail Bridge

Every time we go to Edinburgh, I say to hubby that I want to go down to South Queensferry to take some pictures of the bridges crossing the Firth of Forth, as they are, all 3, quite spectacular. Finally, this weekend, we stopped in by. This is my favourite - the rail bridge. Completed in 1890, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Such a feat of engineering!

Amazing structure…all those interwoven struts. We went over this bridge in a train once, it was quite thrilling! Lovely black & white photo.

Edinburgh is where some of my ancestors are from (that along with Glasgow and Hamilton). I don't know if I'll ever get to see them in person, so I really enjoy seeing the sights through your eyes.
