This little girl has been running around in the garden recently, checking the feeder to see if I've put anything in it yet. So, I decided it was time. She had a great time all day yesterday burying monkey nuts all over the garden, and eating a few. At one stage she ran into the glass kitchen door, she was so excited with herself. I love it when the squirrels are around.
And dad's house was finally handed over to its new owner yesterday. It made me sad and glad at the same time. It will be strange having to real reason to go to Braemar any more.
What a sweetie, your story is delightful. Such a relief to have concluded the sale of your dad's home, but sadness too that you can no longer visit there.
lovely shot, she looks like a real sweetie to have around. Long term real estate is difficult to part with, especially when it means a whole town or region where you no longer 'belong'.
Tufty is gorgeous, I am sure she is very entertaining. Mixed emotions about the new owners of your Dad's house, but I am sure there are still lots of happy memories.
You'll have to drive past the house now and then to see what's happening. I have actually been invited to walk through the house I grew up in when I've been in Pennsylvania.
Such a little cutie-pie. I imagine it is a bittersweet time with the finality of the house sale. But also that your father's in a good place and all although the house is in new hands, the memories will never go away.
Cute little squirrel so willing to pose for you.
I remember getting in the car and just leaving when I brought my mother to my town. My husband stayed to help the movers and the house was sold about 4 months later, without her/us having to go back. I have driven past it a time or two since then when we've been in the area. Other people have made it their own. And that's a good thing.
Such a cute little squirrel.
I know the feeling. We finally sold my parents house 2 months ago. It was a relief since the house was in Florida and we live in NY, but at the same time it was sad. They had the house built 30 years ago and our whole family enjoyed many, many happy times in that home.
Glad to hear that things are finalised for your dads house, but understand the sadness tgat goes with it 💔
