On Thursday evening, our last night on Harris, we ate in a most unusual restaurant, called Flavour. It was an 8-course tasting dinner, set in the kitchen with about 20 diners all around, watching as the food was prepared and served - a skill in itself! Here, on my quick I-phone shot, you can see chef Chris on the left, and his commis-chef on the right. The dish being prepared here is the main course of venison. Chris is adding the red wine jus and his commis chef is placing the parsnip crisp very carefully on top. Each dish was a revelation and delicious!
@brigette Interesting. I absolutely love his book 'Simple' but bought another two (Plenty and Plenty More) which I was less impressed with. I haven't seen 'Flavour' but must take a look one day, without buying, by the sounds of your comment!
