These geese fly into our neck of the woods for the winter. I can only imagine that the farmers don't like them too much as they arrive in big numbers and eat grass, roots, cereal leaves and grain. However, this fellow looked rather lovely sitting resting amongst the daisies.
Within the last 10 years the numbers wintering have grown dramatically here. We also have a few breeding in the hills. As you say though not welcomed by everyone.
I tried to take a photo of our resident ducks today but they wouldn’t sit still! Might have known this one was yours…..yours always have that bit of extra style somehow! I can imagine how low down you had to get for this one…..a bit if zoom too I should think as geese can be confrontational sometimes!
