Our daughter arrived home on Sunday evening for a few days. She's working from (our) home this week, after having spent a week in Gosport on a sailing course. We all have a wedding in Fife at the weekend. Today is 'Norway Day' and so she had a day off. We went to Braemar to play a round of golf with her. She's a beautiful golfer, even though she hardly ever plays. Puts me to shame.
Great action shot…when I see players this near I always feel like shouting ‘take the flag out’. I love watching golf on the tv & usually pay to watch the Augusta open. Enjoy your few days with your daughter & enjoy the wedding!
The concentration is what always impresses me about golf. Although my father hoped I would learn, I never took to it. My middle sister did though and I guess was fairly decent. Good shot.
@happypat Ha ha ... your comment on the flag reminded me ... she hasn't played since the flag rules changed and on the first hole she asked 'is someone going to get the flag then?' We updated her on the new rules! :-)
New rules? Oh I must be out of date! Will google that! 😳. Well I have read it… I always thought that leaving the flag in might prevent the ball from entering, seems not! I have learnt something today!!
@happypat It’s no longer a requirement to remove the pin! Most of the Pro’s still do, I think, but for the likes of us it speeds up the game not faffing with the flag!
How funny! Before he hurt his back, my Hubby was teaching a sailing course there.....
I have never ever tried golf. Shots like this make it look almost appealing to try....
