I'm delighted with my oregano crop this summer, and am drying the leaves for use throughout the year. It's the first time I've seen it flower - such delicate pale purple blooms. You can just make out the basil leaves in the background of this image, which gives a sense of the size of the oregano flowers.
A very useful plant to grow….oregano is one of the very few herbs I do use….would love to go on a course about using herbs in cooking. A very little known subject all round I think.
Lovely shot of the greenery. I love the details in the tiny blossoms. We do oregano, basil, thyme, parsley, and sage. I like them for greens in small bouquets or to use fresh. Hubby likes to dry them for use later. I think I’d rather be taking photos.
