Alexander headed off on Tuesday to spend the New Year with his girlfriend, and Mhairi and Ed are heading off this morning to spend New Year in Norway. Yesterday was another lovely day though, with a walk up the river Muick, and then a Christmas game of Risk in the afternoon. M & E then cooked dinner for us. What a treat! The house is sure going to be quiet this evening though. :-(

Fun shot! Glad you could spend some time with your kids. I sobbed when my daughter left 2 days ago. Couldn't help it. Back off to California for who knows how long. All the best to you in 2023, Issi!
It's really hard to have those great family times and then separate again. I wish mine would stay longer too. We used to play this game when I was a girl but I'm fairly certain we had no clue how to really play it. Monopoly was the game that we played more often. I like the pov on this shot. It makes me feel like I might be one of the soldiers under attack!
