Thanks so much for commenting on my photo of the dilapidated balcony. Believe it or not, this building is most likely on the historic registry, and because it is in a tiny, somewhat remote village, there are probably very few people who would want to restore it in compliance with the registry guidelines as that would be costly.

I love this architecture so much! I also love the weathered look but hope someone will fix it up and not tear it down!
