Desert Wetlands

“The term ‘desert wetlands’ seems like an oxymoron. It stands to reason that desert and water are at opposite ends of the environmental spectrum. Yet if the desert had no water, there would be no life.”

I had no idea you could have a wetland in a desert, what an education 365 is at times! Lovely shot too.

Bosque Del Apache is such a beautiful and important area for migration.

Ohhh, my favorite color combo...blue and yellow! Absolutely lovely, Jane. I especially love the way the branches in the middle curl so gracefully.

Thanks so much for your comments about my photo of the desert wetlands. I was drawn to the scene by the crane in the water in the middle of the photo, but ended up liking the landscape it was in better. Now the original subject of the crane is very tiny and hardly noticeable.
