Trillium by jankoos

Trillium

One of our earliest native wildflowers to emerge from the ground in spring. I love them! We have lots on our property.
Great focus! Lovely shot, Jan!

Jan, this is so lovely! Wisconsin is still ankle deep in snow in many places. Glad I'm not there.

@cathieg - thanks Cathie - one of my favorite native wildflowers.
@frankhymus - thanks kindly Frank - I do like these flowers - they turn pink when they mature so there will be more on here.
@elaine55 @genesis_one @rhos @joannbayne @foxsparrow @sansjuan @judis - thanks so much - love the trilliums.
@carolb @corgimom @bristolrose - thanks kindly. The Western trillium is found in the Western US and British Columbia, Canada. It tends to grow in woodlands. They start white and turn pink as they mature. In Eastern Canada I think they have a red variety.
