Old abandoned water tower at one of the Weyerhauser sites - if you view in larger you can see all the rust and peeling paint. I had a difficult time getting this pic. There was a curve in the road with nowhere safe to pull off except right across the road. It's pretty big and high off the ground - finally was able to back up enough to get it all in - but it wasn't interesting - so had to do some serious processing - I like the final outcome.
Very cool shot! I love abandoned water towers and they are all over Chicago. I was thinking of making that a theme for a week this fall. Love the color and texture in this one.
Nicely captured and processed. I love the rust and the faded paint. I can see how hard it would be to get just what you wanted with this in the limited space you had.
@taffy - here we have a lot too, Taffy - left over from abandoned logging mill sites - and the newer ones are HUGE - and in some cases they paint scenery on them.
