This reminds me of a poetry book for children (and adults!) called Where the Sidewalk Ends. There is a funny optical illusion here that the walk just stops ahead of your husband. I love your processing and pov on this!
@espyetta - ahh - Shel Silverstein? Love his work. When my son was small we read his books over and over. The bridge does end right in front of hubby - it's just over some of the wetland and streams. Lovely little walk. It's one we take older or less fit friends/relatives on at Mount Rainier - just a 3/4 mile loop but lots to see.
