There is a lovely old craftsman house and detached garaged ten miles or so from here. A decade or so ago, the property across the street turned into a landfill - now the main garbage collection point for our county. Neighbors fought it and there was something sleazy in the way the permits were granted - so now the dump sits on a wetland, polluting a stream and turning what was a lovely little neighborhood into a ghost town. This place was abandoned and now the garage is ready to cave in. It's listing to one side and has roots coming out the roof. So sad to see.
