Pretty intense looking - but I was lucky enough that he came close to the viewing area and I was able to get some clear shots. The coyotes at Northwest Trek are fed daily - so they don't have the scrawny look I always associate with the ones I see in the wild.
We see so many of these in the wild around here, Although seeing them running down the middle of my street makes me worry for my kitties. Nice shot. So pretty.
He actually looks quite tame but I'm not sure I would want him running down my street as Valerie describes!! I suppose we have foxes running down the street instead stealing peoples chickens!!! @valpak
He does look rather healthy compared to the ones we see around here. You snapped a wonderful image of him. I am sort of glad he is healthy, i hate to see skinny, wasting animals even the ones I don't like.
@martini007@dakotaburns@pflaume@kareenking@grammyn@nanderson@mamamia@elisasaeter@anazad511@paulaw@valpak@swilde - thanks for the comments on my coyote pic. He definitey wasn't tame, but the wildlife at NW Trek are used to people. They rely on the keeps for their food. We have a lot of coyotes round here - they are generally scrawny looking, and not a favorite - they will take cats, small dogs and other critters. @sansjuan - Nita - I agree - I don't like to see them starving either. They control the rodent population but sadly also take cats, small dogs, bunnies, ducks, geese etc. Their screaming at night is un-nerving.
