This is the center of a glass sculpture depicting the sun. The piece is 16ft wide and has 2000 pieces in it. It sits in a bed of black mondo grass and represents sun rising over a dark horizon.

One of his pieces is in the Indianapolis Children's Museum, called Fireworks in Glass. It's amazing. You kind of lay under it and look up. It's all lit up. Such a fun picture.
