Mount Rainier from White Pass.
I wasn't dressed for snow and had to walk over ice in heeled clogs to get this pic while my relatives sat in the car. I am sure there was conversation as to how crazy I am to risk life and limb for a picture of a mountain I spend far too much time gazing at!
Love this shot! I remember taking a zillion pics of Rainier when we took our motorcycle out to the opposite coast. My husband was fairly patient, but grew tired of stopping for a different angle every few minutes! lol I couldn't help myself!
So beautiful, Jan. I love the light and pink tones. I'm sure they did think you were a little crazy. I suspect all our family members would agree at times. :)
FaVulous!! This IS your mountain! You have captured it perfectly! What a shot and don't worry about what they think...look at what you got! It is hard to get a shot of this mountain...especially driving down the freeway. I never know where to turn off. I don't suppose you will give away any secrets?? hahaha!
@archaeofrog - thanks Katie - lots of Rainier pics in my albums - my hubby and I moved from Seattle so we could be closer to the mountain for hiking - and because we love it so much. Part of the draw is that much (most) of the time it's hidden behind cloud or fog cover - so seeing it is always special.
