Butterfly eggs

These have appeared on a nasturtium leaf. I'm guessing they are from a Cabbage White butterfly - but time will tell!

Wow! That's really a great find. I've never seen butterfly eggs. I thought they only came from cocoons.

Fascinating find and a great close up. I've never knowingly seen them before, either. They look like rice grains standing to attention... as rice grains are wont to do.

@dulciknit @sophiaz They will hatch into caterpillars first and eat all my plants before turning into cocoons. I must say I thought they looked like something out of 'Alien'!
