One thing we really miss about Australia is Aussie Rules Football. Luckily we get 1 game per week on cable TV over here. This poor quality photo is a snap shot of the TV screen. Go the Adelaide Crows!
Hello and greetings from Edmonton, Canada. I came across this on the browse page. I think it is actually a nice shot considering it was taken on the television screen. That is one huge crowd. I actually had the chance to play Aussie Rules Football in school here for awhile as we had a teacher who had spent some time working in Australia
@bkbinthecity Hello from Rossland, British Columbia. Thanks for the comments. Yes that is quite the crowd. The TV commentator suggested it was about 60,000 people. The game shown in the photo is between 2 of the more popular Victorian teams and it's opening weekend of the season so the crowd is pumped up and ready for a new year. My family and I are actually Aussies but we're living in your beautiful country of Canada. We do miss our footy though. Thank god for cable TV and the internet.
