The original Kaslo Hotel, which was built in 1896, burned down in 1950. This 'new' hotel was constructed and opened in 1958 on the original site overlooking Kootenay Lake. The hotel was closed for extensive renovation in 2006, and opened again to guests in early 2009.
@megmills@kiwichick Thanks ladies! I'm happy with the way this one turned out. It's a pity that truck is there though. At least there are no overhead power lines in this shot. Since getting into photography a bit more I've realized how many power lines are around. Thanks again for the feedback.
