Don Quixote: Dost not see? A monstrous giant of infamous repute whom I intend to encounter.
Sancho Panza: It's a windmill.
Don Quixote: A giant. Canst thou not see the great arms whirling at his back?
Sancho Panza: A giant?
Don Quixote: Exactly.
I think the windmills are an excellent idea. My town is putting one or 2 up and there is a group of people protesting it. Don't they understand that the windmills provide power and if they were bad and a health hazard there wouldn't be windmill farms??
@chasingwishes there is a plan to construct a number of windmills in our area but there is considerable opposition. Real Estate values plummet near them and there is a lot of concern about the noise levels affecting people's health and well being.
@jayberg I asked because I saw probably hundreds of them in Minnesota last year as I was traveling west. I wonder if these are in that same general area?
I've visited many wind farms and love them all. They give me hope that there are some signs of intelligent life on earth, and perhaps a future for human civilization.
@jayberg Well since I've never been close to one, I can't say anything about the noise level, but I gotta agree with @ecodon and add that as people, we need to move forward and take advantage of natural resources.. I wonder what these do in a tornado.
