tks so much for all the great comments on the 'smoke"...these types of shots are so much fun to do...The technique is to use the essence sticks from the local dollar store, place a remote flash under the smoke at right angles to the lens...light the sticks and fire away..I like a larger aperture to soften the picture.....tks again.

Of course ,Jay ! I love you but you did those shots so beautifully and when I tried they were awful. I do NOT have a remote flash but have been told it isn't necessary. I may try again.
