Hamilton Steam and Technology Museum

This is shot of the piston pumps that used to supply the city or Hamilton, Ontario with their municipal water from Lake Ontario. The twin pumps were powered by coal fired steam boilers. On the right hand side you can see the giant flywheel that helped to work the pump piston.
It looks like a very complicated contraption! Not at all like your usual simple images!!
