The Boys are Back in Town

Springtime is arriving early in southern California and hanging the nyger seed bag seems to alerted the finch community to free food. And this was not the maximum number of birds I saw on this bag at one time -- it was a feeding frenzy.

The local squirrel was eyeing this enviously, but I'm up to his tricks and have secured it appropriately

Those nyger seed bags seen to work for you, but I have not had any luck with them here.The finches seem to prefer hopper feeders where I live.

@mbrutus Nyger seed bags - available at Green Thumb in Canoga or Home Depot. Hang up the bag and see them flock to it -- its like candy.
