I was at UCLA this morning for my annual gig viewing and providing feedback on presentations by undergraduate economics students. While on campus, I paid a visit to Mira Hershey Hall, many year ago the graduate student dormitory where I spent two years. It is now been converted to offices for the Life Science department.
As I walk through the halls, happy memories came flooding back -- in this empty courtyard we fellow students shared our meals and our lives as we were just starting out on the threshold of adulthood.
In my two years here, I made many lifelong friends at Hershey Hall . . . including meeting my wife of 38 years.
