Teachers on Strike

This week LA Unified School District teachers walked out on strike for better wages, smaller class sizes, and against the growth of charter schools. The school district administration and the union appear to be at loggerheads -- and when two opposing and intransigent forces dig in, it's the ones caught in the middle -- the students -- who suffer.

I think there is room in this world for both public and private to co-exist. Those who can afford private make room in the public system for those who can't and it is a win/win.
