Barrels

Stage one of the vegetable garden redo. When I tore out the old vegetable planters (they were falling apart after 10 years) I decided to re-imagine that side of the house (new planters, herb garden, flagstone walkway, etc). Since I won't get the new planters in the ground until later in the year, I am planting my tomato and onions in wine barrels. More to come

I love using these barrels. I've had many over the years. Last summer I did containers for my tomatoes. Just large clay pots. Worked great! I was able to bring them in during the summer hail storms and was rewarded with a long harvest. Good luck!
