Topped Off

In the city center, there are too many of these that are the only remainders of what were once majestic trees.

It looks as though Mother Nature lost this battle. Interesting that the city kept the stump as a memorial of sorts

PArt of me understands the need to cut them down but the other part doesn’t understand why they just leave a stump
