This little girl caught my eye when I was practicing my panning technique with cars. I had to change camera settings and compose the shot quickly. I was glad they both had their eyes open with nice expressions. And I lucked out that their steps were in sync.
Expression helps tell a story, doesn't it, it helps action fill a picture with life. Smiles relax people, they let the light shine out - part of the reason I enjoy children as subjects, their light, their souls, are accessible to the lens. Despite being something of a loner myself, I think people are at their best together and when life, for a minute, is a simple shared pleasure.
