Cyclist Crossing Bridge on W&OD Trail near Bluemont
I photographed cyclists on the W&OD trail while I waited for a friend at Bluemont this afternoon.
I was waiting near the tennis courts on one side of Wilson Blvd while she waited at the Rose Garden where tennis courts used to be. Neither of us had the other's cell phone number, but eventually she called my home and my husband gave her my cell number.
Despite the initial confusion, we had a nice walk and I got a chance to capture some photos beforehand while the light was still nice.
I might have looked at this picture and immediately discarded it because of the railing that covers the bikers face. After I looked at the picture a while I am beginning to like it more and more. The railing in front of her face actually adds to the picture for me and I don't really know why. Also the railing adds tremendously to the motion in the picture. Great capture. (C)
Thank you. I wasn't sure if this worked or not. In the past, I haven't posted the ones that I'm not sure about but something drew me to this one. The other one I was considering has crisp focus, afternoon light, and it's a good panning shot, but for some reason I felt like the bridge made this one more interesting.
