I thought of Natalie Goldberg when I saw this writer at Northside Social this evening. I like the low light and I really like that he's writing by hand, and he's almost filled a notebook. The guy sharing the picnic table with him is using a laptop and I tried to get a shot with the two of them for contrast between the two technologies, but I like this shot better.
I've been to several of Natalie Goldberg's workshops and read all of her books. She's always talking about writing in cafes or coffee shops. I haven't tried that yet, but this may inspire me. Northside Social is close to my house and looks like it might be a good place to write.
