The next door neighbor and I have both flt sorry for a mother cat with four kittens roaming the backyards. I have been putting out some dry food for the momma cat and a single can of food for the kittens each day. Even with the food they are all very skittish and bolt at the slightest sign of my being near them.
I set my camera on the ground inside the back door of the house and when the cat arrived to eat I slowly, slowly inched the door open enough to stick the lens out. Then I used the live view on the camera to frame and shoot.
Not exactly big game safari photography, but it still took a bit of patience.
