Here in the U.S. we are spoiled, and we think that these prices are outrageous. We had been enjoying gas at $0.75 a gallon less before the election. Being in the Southwest US means that it is 140 miles to the closest city, costing about $45 in gas to drive to Albuquerque and back. There is no good transportation system as an alternative to driving either.
