Sign of the times!

This old sign post is not very far away from us...A real reminder of years gone by!! Wish they still put the mileage on more of the modern signs. The shouts of "are we nearly there?" a distant memory as we consult "the Google" for the answer.

These old ones seem to have the "right" distances on too. I know of several new ones, that tell you for instance, your destination is maybe 58 miles away, a couple of miles down the road it is 62 miles away, then 60 miles away ?

I love to find these old signs, although to me they're not old, just part of our lives. So much more helpful and with some character.

@stowgarden Me too Cherrill. Some of these old signs are being repaired and repainted...they haven't got round to this one yet!!
