Statue of George Washington by jernst1779

Statue of George Washington

In July 1869 this equestrian statue of George Washington was placed in the Boston Public Garden which in 1837 was the first public botanical garden established in the United States. The sculptor, Thomas Ball, took 4 years to make the plaster cast for the statue, but the casting of the statue was delayed due to the shortage of bronze caused by the Civil War.
Really like the perspective, it is very respectful.
