Lahngangsee, a mountain lake in Upper Austria, glittering in the sunset light.
The last sun rays flood the still water and the last flowers of the year.
My take on this - the bokeh acts as if giving extra life to the end of season flowers, by providing a new flower head of bright golden glow. And yet the backlighting ensures that the real flower stays as the star of the show - giving it the respect due to one who has stayed his course and reaches the end of life. Another stunning piece of imagery Jerome.
ooohhhh...that is wonderful Jerome....I always think you have to work harder to make a square shaped work sing....and you have the composition absolutely singing...not to mention the lovely monochrome colour.

Thanks, dear Helen S, for your comment! Singing - I wish I could do this. But the music should accompany us all in what we do. Just as a single tone never stands alone, but always in a relation to the other tones. If these relations are coherent, we say: it is a melody. I am happy about every "melody" - in painting, in architecture, in music, in the encounter with other people... One would like this in every action and every phase of our existence in this world.

Dear Helen J, your interpretations are always so special. And so much you write every day. Certainly you could write a book with your comments, which you wrote in this forum for the people. How many may it be in the meantime... Possibly material for several books...
Yes, the bokeh is the sun and gives the last flowers tender warmth. Loving at the end of the day...
Thank you all so much for your nice comments!
