Šumava is a nature reserve in the Czech Republic, bordering Upper Austria. It is the largest protected area in Central Europe. It reaches deep into the Bohemian Forest.
sometimes you post landscape images that are just so foreign to me. this is one such photo. It has me reaching for Google to see where Šumava is..looks like a place I'd love to see. Beautiful photo
@ahleena The processing of this picture... Afterwards it's hard for me to list the exact steps. I tried with the sliders for contrast, brightness, saturation... At first I have a certain idea of mood, colour values... But this can change during the trial and error. Sometimes I come across something interesting by accident - and then I follow another track. At some point, the moment when I say: That fits (at least halfway).
@hrs Thank you for your nice comment, Helen! Šumava is not as spectacular as the great national parks in the world. But I can experience a piece of untouched nature without having to drive far.
