Krippenstein - that is the name of the mountain where I took this snowshoe tour. I chose this photo to give you an impression of the landscape in which I hiked. On the right you see the path that I followed. It is advisable to follow the pre-tracked trails - there are dolines and rifts in this area. The highest mountain on the horizon is the Dachstein (you know, my beloved mountain...).
I would like to share with you some photos of this tour. They are in context to this scene.
Krippenstein offers an extensive terrain for skiers, ski-tourers, cross-country skiers, snowshoe hikers and snowboarders. With 11 km of length, there is the longest downhill run in Austria. The photo shows only a tiny section of this area.
This is beautiful. Not much to add. I am really enjoying those pure snowy pics of yours, and the mountains in your photos are breathtaking. Just keep hiking if this is what we get!
That's very adventurous and we'll beautiful too! I only wish I could track through like that but so enjoy now these pictures from others such as yourself. Thank you for sharing!
@helenhall The terrain at the mountain Krippenstein is very extensive. Most people are on the ski slopes - they can be lifted up with the ski lifts and then descend - this is perhaps the most comfortable (and most expensive) way to experience the mountain.
I prefer hiking with the snow shoes. Usually I was alone on this tour, I rarely met anyone.

Thank you all for your so nice comments!
It is a very nice experience when you enjoy my photos from the mountains. It ist very nice when I can show you at least a glimmer of the peculiarity of the mountains in their winter dress.
