As you can see, there are no tourist flows on this winter day. Walking through the streets at this time is calm and peaceful.
The laundry line is part of the street scene in Italy, like the Vespa and the street café. Across the street, the clotheslines are strained. In Venice also over so many canals. The airflow through the streets and canals allows the laundry to dry quickly and environmentally friendly. It is likely that it even promotes communication with the inhabitants of the neighboring house.
Great slice of life with all that washing out. I have never been to Venice but bet it is wonderful to be there when the rest of the tourists are not. I like your tall portrait frame to match the buildings.
how serene it feels.. such deep a feeling of depth/space/air.. the two distant figures look to be gently strolling, in my mind :-)
great processing - as always..
