Back I am. Thanks a lot for the many dear attentions to my pictures, especially to the previous one I posted before my break.
Now I would like to present a few travel impressions from my tour in Australia last year. On the Gibb River Road I explored this strong country. I was on sand and gravel roads, crossed rivers, visited deep gorges, listened to the voices of the sea and was enchanted by the light and colours of these impressive regions.
Of course I had my camera with me. I have prepared some pictures - I would like to share with you.
HI Jerome, We did the Gibb River Rd as well as Mitchell Falls etc back in 2013 (pre 365) and took a mountain of shots. Really interested to see what you come up with on your trip. No doubt they will all be brilliant
Oops, didn't realise that we were talking about last year. Not to worry, hope you enjoyed your trip nevertheless. You certainly saw some fantastic country on that route. Did you organise your own trip or go with a guided tour?
@golftragic Thank you, dear Marnie, for your nice attention! I was traveling alone, with a rented four-wheel drive. I agree with you: some fantastic country!
@dkbarnett Thank you, Delwyn, for your nice interest! There are wonderful landscapes along the Gibb River Road. But take enough time for it - there is so much to see... Unfortunately, I had only two weeks - much too short!
@terryliv Very nice that you have already visited these areas! For hikers and photographers a great experience. Would like to do this tour again - but for at least four weeks, not for two. Very much I have not seen ...
@golftragic You Lucky, living in Geelong - that must be a wonderful place. The Great Ocean Road: there are certainly the highlights of the south coast. At what time do you prefer your visits? :-)
@jerome The weather's usually reasonable from November to late April, school holidays from mid-December to early February. Best is probably mid-February to late April, but we don't get the really severe weather you're used to so the GOR is open all year round (very busy over the holiday period). Only exceptions for GOR is after one of the occasional torrential rains we get from time to time, then it's often closed due to land-slides/rock-falls.
You have just answered my question in the last photo! Now I know you were here last year! my daughter has driven that route and absolutely loved it. And I see you are talking about the Great Ocean Road with Marnie @golftragic - if you're planning a trip, certainly avoid from Christmas and all of January, and also over Easter - it's total bedlam! I live at the western end of the GOR, so let me know if you're coming :)
@gilbertwood So your daughter was already on the Gibb River Road. That's great!
GOR - "bedlam" ... :) Must be exciting. At the western end of the GOR you live. Thank you for your invitation, take it gladly if I come :). Christmas, Easter ... would fit well.
Yes, a few photos of Australia I still have and would like to share.

Australia - what a strong country with fantastic landscapes this is!
