At the summit, I enjoy the unobstructed view of the surrounding mountains. In the photo you can see the hill that has to be passed on the west route. A group of mountaineers has just reached its top. The path to the Bosruck summit continues over the ridge.
On the horizon, the snow-capped Tauern extend - they are part of the Eastern Alps.
Utterly awe-inspiring terrain Jerome. Puts we humans into our proper perspective, ie not terribly important in Nature's scheme of things. I've never been a rock/mountain climber and I can't imagine how on earth anyone can get up those slopes. Wow!
