fort Nizwa

Clay architecture from the 17th century. The basic structures date back to the 12th century. It is one of the most important national monuments in Oman. It was a powerful fortress against raiding hordes. The fort had been built over an underground river. Thus, the water supply was ensured during a prolonged siege.
Great lines. A simple yet lovely image.

Built wisely. The building tells the tale of its age through its walls.
