mountain forest

It's been a good while since I've been to the mountains. I tried it yesterday.
It rained the night before. Steaming fog covered the peaks. The clap of thunder from an approaching thunderstorm caused me to turn back prematurely.

My attitude is that I don't take unnecessary risks in the mountains. I try to enjoy what they give me. Of course I am happy when I have climbed a summit, when I have an unobstructed view of the vastness of the landscape. But I respect the mountains.
