Silky Girl the 4th by jesika2

Silky Girl the 4th

Tilly, the little rescue Silky is rescuing me after 7 deaths in 15 months. Working together we'll both do well. She has me on a 15 year trial & will send me back if I don't make the grade.
It's strange how much she resembles Sadie (1) and LucySue (2). Her only feature shared with LindiLou (3) is eye lashes that go on for ever.
Tilly is a beautiful, tiny dog, much smaller the 5 Silkys who have lived with me since Nov 1969.
She's afraid of men, big dogs and any dog running loose but we will overcome these problems in time. We only met April 6 so these are very early days.

She looks so beautiful and...well...silky.
Hope you pass muster and don't get sent back!

A creature of comfort!

@gardencat Her terms and conditions are quite stringent: won't do cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, cooking etc etc - but WILL take me walkies, give me cuddles and allow me to feed her sugar snap peas and baby sweetcorn. Seems a decent deal to me.
She's a little doll, apart from thinking 6.30 am is time to get up.

@fbailey She settled quickly and easily, no problem at all. Cried an hour the first night, 5 minutes the second and now quiet - until HER idea of getting up time.

@milaniet She knows where her bed is, but that's for night. Rest of time she wants to be near mummy, and mummy is more than happy to oblige.

I'm sure you will make the cut with this little creature and she will keep you around.

@pej I'm already adapting - sort of - to getting up in the middle of the night, letting her out & then sleeping on the bit of the sofa she allows me. How can a tiny dog take up 3/4 of a big sofa???
She's a bright, beautiful little girl and has brought light into my darkness. Hopefully I am doing the same for her.

@julienne1 She's very pretty and happy in her home surroundings. Hopefully in a few months we'll be able to join other dogs on our short walk.

@gardencat Many thanks for your hopeful comment. She's been with me 5 weeks now and there are no signs of rejecting me. I think, just THINK, I might be a keeper, as long as I continue to do well. She's met most of the local doggies and is slightly less afraid of men, still cautious and careful but not quaking in terror any more.
