It's School Spirit Week and today was "Inupiaq Day." Our principal is wearing authentic hand-made mukluks with moose-hide soles and beaver fur lining. The boys, of course, are wearing the latest, coolest gym shoes their money can buy!

The annual event is usually held in Anchorage, but they picked our tiny village this year because of our outstanding Inupiaq teacher. There will be lots of cultural activities and I'll be sure to have pictures of those. Stay tuned!
