Assist II

It worked! 6 days later and we have a real road and rapidly-melting snow. Ahhh...lovely MUD! :-)
love seeing the two scenes together. Quite amazing how fast its melted. Will it all go away? guess you have to have a "mud room" for all the dirty boots etc.

@cruiser All houses up here have an "Arctic entry" that is usually left unlocked so people can come in out of the cold and knock on the inside door. And yes, we store our "parkies" and assortment of boots in there!
@francoise Never buy a house built right on the ground up here! The heat from the homes will melt the permafrost, causing the ground beneath to buckle and heave, ruining the foundation. So the homes on stilts have to be adjusted periodically, but it's a better solution than right on the ground.
@ivan Thanks Ivan! And thanks for following. :-)
@thistle Thank you Joyce. Glad spring is finally coming up here!

Definite progress, even though you have to go through the muddy stage. Just sing the "Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud":

and enjoy.
