Our sunrise is 12:01 & sunset is 3:09. This is our maintenance man returning from the post office on a "snow-go" pulling a "basket sled." (The kind dog mushers use.) This was taken during my lunch time and it was just getting light.
weird detail of a fire hydrant. Really? In the arctic??? The continuities between life here and there are almost as startling as some of the differences you capture.

It was actually very dark, but I am learning Lightroom and was playing with duotones...after tweaking it enough to see some details, the sky looked like high noon in Texas, so I tried to bring it back down to something a little closer to realistic - still got a lot o'learning to do! Suggestions are always helpful! Thanks!
