Interesting image, lovely scenery in the background, burnt trees in front. As you probably know, we too have bad bushfires but eucalypts regenerate quite well as a rule. Doesn't look like these pines (?) do that.

There were parts of the Park that were naturally re-seeding, but this particular section had not. It could have been more recent, or just a patch of different trees that don't regrow as quickly.
That is hard to believe that the forest isn't showing more recovery. I have read stories of seeds that lie dormant and how fires cause them to open and produce new vegetation. This looks like it happened recently.
@skipt07 I agree, Skip. Around here those trees are Lodgepole Pines. There are plenty of those in the Park and they surely would have reseeded by now, so this must be a more recent fire. Thanks for stopping by!
