Bannack Ghost Town

Looks like this is straight out of a western movie!

I love Bannack. I went a few years ago with a friend (my photo buddy) and we took our grandsons. Love the fall colors.

I like the ghost town subject, and the composition with a barren hill half and a bush foreground.

This is interesting!! Was it a mining town?

@365karly1 Where are you, Karly?
@etienne Thank you, Etienne. I always appreciate your observations.
@777margo There was a major gold strike in 1862 and it was the Territorial Capital for one year, before the capital moved to Virginia City, and finally ended up in Helena, MT as the State Capital. It's only 12 miles from our place, along a bumpy dirt road. We take all our visitors there!
