Don't know where you took these but looks like it is a headquarter for rust collectors. Are these on their way to being crushed, I wonder,

@gardencat These are in Alaska. (I'm up here for a month of subbing for 5th grade.) The cost of shipping things out to recycle is very very expensive, so they sit & wait as a source for parts & just get rustier every year.
