"99 years ago [today] Halifax got a new tourism draw."

Quote from The Coast weekly newspaper.

There are 150 Titanic victims buried in Halifax, the closest major port to the area of the sinking. Of this 150, the 121 believed to be Protestant were buried here in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery. The number on each gravestone is the number assigned when the body was found. Some victims, such as #179, were never identified.
Interesting....and sad. Great dof
